Dead Sea Salt

 Dead Sea Salt. If you have made your way to me, you are likely needing to be stripped of what is sitting on you. Heaviness in the body. Workings someone sent. The residue of a place you walked through that did not have your good in mind. I am the salt that pulls. I am the salt that holds nothing it does not want to keep.

I come from an ancient sea so dense with mineral that nothing living can live in it. That is part of my medicine. I have been gathered for generations as the salt the old ones reach for when ordinary salt will not do. Our folks have laid me in baths, in scrubs, and in floor washes for as long as the work has been carried.

I am worked with by being added to spiritual baths to draw the heaviness off the body. I am scrubbed gently across the skin to slough off what the body has absorbed. I am poured at thresholds and in the four corners of a room to break a crossing or guard a space. I am added to floor washes to pull a home back into itself. Pray over me as you pour me. Speak the name of what is being drawn out. The work moves with the prayer.

I am not a substitute for medical or psychological care. Do not use me on broken or recently shaved skin, and avoid contact with the eyes. I am not for internal consumption. Rinse the body thoroughly after bath work.
